The Bin Ali Al-Amoudy Trust is committed to continuing the legacy of Sheikh Mohammad bin Ali Al-Amoudy by promoting social, educational, religious, and institutional development within the community.
The Trust operates with the following key objectives:

Advancement of Education, Madrasa Development & Quality Assurance

General Education & Access:

  • Promote education for all, ensuring access to quality learning opportunities for children, youth, and adults.
  • Provide scholarships and educational support to deserving and underprivileged students.
  • Facilitate the purchase and distribution of books and learning materials to various institutions and schools.
  • Organize educational trips and exposure visits (such as visits to Malindi Airport) to enhance practical learning experiences.

Madrasa Education & Institutional Strengthening:

  • Support madrasa education through registration, development, and sustainability of Islamic learning institutions.
  • Assign and support qualified teachers in madrasas and other learning centers.
  • Establish and maintain a dedicated supervisory board (Mufattish Office) under Al-Islam Society to oversee and strengthen madrasa education systems.
  • Conduct regular madrasa inspections, academic monitoring, and structured examinations to ensure high educational standards.
  • Facilitate the payment and welfare of madrasa teachers, ensuring motivation, stability, and professionalism in teaching.
  • Oversee the issuance of certificates and recognition of student achievement, promoting academic excellence and encouragement.
  • Implement continuous follow-up and mentorship programs for madrasa students, ensuring their academic and moral development.
  • Supervise a growing network of over 25 madrasas with approximately 800 students across regions including Malindi, Mombasa, Lamu, and beyond.
  • Organize teacher training workshops, capacity-building programs, and regular professional meetings, enhancing teaching quality and institutional performance.

Youth Empowerment and Skills Development

  • Empower young people through computer classes and digital skills training, equipping them for modern opportunities.
  • Establish and support skills development programs that prepare youth for employment and self-reliance.
  • Create and maintain safe playing grounds and recreational facilities for students to promote physical and social well-being.

Women and Girls Empowerment

  • Promote the inclusion and empowerment of women and girls, ensuring equal access to education and skills development.
  • Provide computer training programs specifically for women and girls, enhancing their independence and opportunities.
  • Support widows and vulnerable women, including offering assistance and, where possible, taking responsibility for their welfare and basic needs.

Community Development and Social Support

  • Uplift the community through programs aimed at reducing poverty and supporting the needy.

  • Provide humanitarian aid and assistance to disadvantaged individuals and families.

  • Encourage community participation in civic responsibilities, including awareness and support related to voting and responsible citizenship.

Religious and Spiritual Development

  • Support and strengthen Islamic religious activities and institutions, including mosques and madrasas.

  • Organize and facilitate religious lectures (Muhadhara) and guidance sessions (Mawaidha) for spiritual growth.

  • Conduct madrasa events and ceremonies that encourage learning and community unity.

  • Distribute dates (tende) and other essentials during Ramadan and support religious programs during the holy month.
